CLASSES

VPK Four Year Old Class                          Monday-Friday 9:00-12:00
Three Year Old Class                                Monday - Wednesday - Friday 9:00-12:00
Wee Three Year Old Class                         Tuesday - Thursday 9:00-12:00

PROGRAMS

 

STUDENT/TEACHER

Our program emphasizes a positive approach to learning including centers, creative play, and many hands-on experiences.

 

Our ratio is two teachers to 12-15 students.  Our Wee Three class ratio is two teachers to 9 students. 

CURRICULUM

Our age appropriate curriculum includes Bible stories, Pre-Reading, Pre-Math, Creative Cooking, Dramatic Play, Music Social Studies, Language Arts, Creative Art, Science Experiments, Sensori-motor Explorations, and Christian Concepts.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for enrollment, a student must be 2 years old as of March 1 of the prior school year for the Wee Three 2-day program and must be toilet trained as we do not have diaper changing facilities in the school. In the 3-day program a child must be 3 years old by September 1 and for the 5-day program, a child must be 4 years of age by September 1.

KID'S DAY OUT

Kid's Day Out is provided Wednesday and Friday for the 3 year old classes and the Pre-K classes. This program is for preschool students who wish to spend more time with their preschool friends. The hours are form 12:00-2:00, with the children providing their own lunch and beverage. There is a $10.00 fee for this extended day.

STAFF

Faith 'Viera' Lutheran Preschool is blessed with a wonderful staff. All staff members have the State of Florida required 40 hours First Aid and CPR training. Our staff has at a minimum their Child Development Associate degree as well as other advanced degrees including BA degrees in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology.
