Ron Meyr was born and raised in the "boot-heel" section of Missouri
and his parents still live in Cape Girardeau. After attending St.
Paul's College in Concordia, MO and Concordia College in Ft. Wayne,
IN, he graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1980. He
has served parishes in New Jersey and Canada before coming to
Florida.
His wife, Pam, also graduated from St. Paul's College. She was born
and raised in Carrollton, Missouri, 50 miles west of Kansas City.
Pam graduated from Concordia Teacher's College in Seward, NE in 1977
with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Social Work. Pam has
taught for the last 11 years in Lutheran schools. She presently
works as a second grade teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in
Rockledge, FL.
Pastor and Pam have two sons: Andrew, who is a podiatrist and
orthopedic surgeon in Washington, DC area; and Eric, who presently
is working at the Lapaz, Honduras Mission. Both attended University
of Florida in Gainesville. The Meyrs live in Heron's Landing off
Viera Blvd., close to where Faith "Viera" Lutheran Church is
located.
